About Me

My photo
Melissa Prager
With the Center for Safe Energy, (a project of the Earth Island Institute), I organize international exchanges with grassroots environmental leaders in the U.S. and the countries of the former Soviet Union. I've co-led energy and sustainability delegations in western Ukraine and in 2011 facilitated the first U.S.-Ukrainian Sister National Park Agreement. My passion is with the world's largest and deepest freshwater lake, Siberia's Lake Baikal, where I've worked to address issues of protected lands and supported ecotourism. I offer to take you on my journeys if you are curious and open to the magic of these great lands.
